About the Role
FWM is hiring for a Shop Helper to support our fabrication team by preparing steel materials for welding and operating various shop tools. Key responsibilities include grinding, cutting, and prepping steel, as well as handling tools such as grinders, torches, saws, and mag drills. We are looking for a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn. If you enjoy working in a hands-on environment, this role is perfect for you.
Requirements
Valid Driver's License
Able to commute to Strasburg, CO 80136
Ability to pass a drug screening
English communication (written & verbal)
Able to lift 50 lbs. and physically fit to handle steel material and tools
Utilize provided PPE (personal protective equipment)
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in steel fabrication, construction, or shop fabrication
Proven ability to read and interpret a tape measure accurately
Experience using hand tools, including drills, grinders, torches, etc.
Experience operating forklifts and overhead machinery to move materials
Basic understanding of shop blueprints
